Matthew Montenegro

Matthew also known as (Monte) has over 4 years of volleyball experience coaching at rec league, and playing himself for 2 years.

“The moment I seen a game of volleyball I got motivated to try it, as well as having my little sister play volleyball and as she progressively got better it had me wanting to learn and get better in this game we call volleyball and transitioning into the coaching aspect of volleyball is definitely a change in discipline and knowledge, having experience already coaching sports during and after high school, coaching soccer and now volleyball has me in that leadership role and wanting to pursue not only in bettering my career and myself but to also keep future athletes wanting to have the heart for the game and to better themselves not only as athletes but as a person.”

Currently Matthew is in school at UMHB to receive his bachelor’s degree in physical education: Coaching concentration as he pursues to be a coach for the future.
